STH PCB technology reduces board costs as much as 25% below traditional plated-through-hole double-sided board designs. Top to bottom electrical connections are made by applying a silver conductive ink through the via holes, a much less costly process than conventional plated-through-hole designs. STH PCB technology also permits the use of more economical board materials such as FR-1. Most important, EECO-Green STH PCBs are completely LEAD FREE, an important manufacturing consideration as the electronics world moves away from traditional lead solders.
