| March 30, 1999 EECO Switch has announced several
design enhancements to the popular 4700 Series SMT
MICRO-DIP rotary DIP switch. The most prominent enhancement is a redesigned detent
mechanism, which provides a more crisp and positive switching action. The electrical
contacts also feature several design enhancements to ensure long electrical life and
stability.
The 4700 Series MICRO-DIP was designed
specifically as a surface mount switch and incorporates carefully selected high
temperature materials. The companion 4500 Series
MICRO-DIP offers the same performance enhancements in a traditional through-hole
design. The originator and leader in rotary coded DIP switches, EECO Switch also offers
the 3500 Series MICRO-DIP in a broad range of
electrical codes and mounting styles. All MICRO-DIPS are fully sealed to withstand
automated soldering and cleaning processes.
EECO Switch, a unit of Transico Inc., manufactures custom elastomer keypads, membrane switches, rotary coded thumbwheel and PCB mount switches.
